Combate de negros en un sotano por la noche

Friday and Saturday, October 27 & 28 | 8:30 pm

Traditional and contemporary dance, Colombia

Located in the extreme North of Latin America, just South of Panama, the region of Uraba has always been a place of migrations and passages, at the junction of the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. The dances of this region include a great variety of rhythms and are very spiritual; the Danza Región collective has re-worked them with a contemporary outlook and social commentary. The result is a powerful performance, highly musical and rhythmic. This show is similar to a trance, which gives a voice to the Latin American minorities.
