For the past twenty years in the Mediterranean, not a summer goes by without seeing jellyfish. With the capacity to regenerate themselves, they could lead to important medical discoveries. Jellyfish mucus is a natural filter, able to rid water of nanoparticles: this offers huge potential for the environment at a time where nothing is being done to fight nanopollution, despite rapidly growing use of these minute particles in everyday products.
