The Scientific Interest Group (Groupement d’Intérêt Scientifique - G.I.S.) of the CNRS, 'Religions - texts, practices, powers' (Religions - textes, pratiques, pouvoirs), hosted on the Lyon site, has established a leading position in the field of religion and secularism. It brings together more than 15 higher education establishments and more than 25 research laboratories. It hosts training courses, scientific meetings and events for the general public.
